The Internship Programme of German Business for Ukraine is financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and contributions from companies. The programme is carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI). (From 2015 until July 2018 it has been implemented by the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations on the behalf of GIZ.) The programme is supported by a reintegrated CIM-expert, located within the structure of the UCCI.
The partner structure in Germany and in Ukraine reflects diversity and consists of the German Embassy in Kyiv and its consulates, Honory Consulate of Germany in Kharkiv, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Embassy in Berlin, Ukrainian local chambers of commerce and industry, economic institutions, international offices of numerous Ukrainian universities and other higher educational establishments, the Bavarian House in Odessa and others.
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports the promotion of the programme and the Embassy of Germany in Kyiv assists in obtaining residence permits for scholarship holders. They are indispensable partners in the country. This also applies to the staff of GIZ Ukraine that supports implementation of the project at local level.
